I agree… its almost like he saw marriage and children as a "phase" in his life, he stated himself that he is sad and also happy to start the next chapter of his life… thats just cruel to even say. I'm sure when his kids get older they will resent him for even saying that he was excited about another "chapter" of his life that didn't include them.

She treats him so poorly, talks down to him, and gives him little respect.

How is he supposed to respect her? IMO, she pushed him to cheat (and I think he did).

I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying that's how I read the situation.

i watched it last night and damn i wanna shoot those paparazis!

they are so inconsiderate, don't they know that it can affect the kids as well. i mean the sextuplets are only 5 and they know who they are!

but during their interview, they both look exhausted and seems uncomfortable. i hope they work it out for their kids.

I think they were bonds which is what banks/countries use to swap large amounts of money.

It sounds nothing like getting a divorce to me. She was basically saying they were in a place in their relationship where they're just not extremely happy (an odd place). This happens in any marriage, ask any married couple.

I love the show and hope it goes on. I'm sure it was taped before all this Jon "stuff" emerged from the hate sites, and remember they have many college educations to save up for!

Here's what I know and my interpretation.
Kate recently made a sort of written pact with Jon stating that she allows him to have other relationships within the definities of their marriage, as long as Jon shows up for taping for the show. As creepy and morally skewed as this is, it settles any debate in my mind that Jon cheated on her. He said in the last episode that he did not cheat on his wife, and I believe him. I have always backed Jon in any feuds because Kate always tends to slander him and not give him the credit he deserves. Anyway, as far as the relationship with Jon and the teacher, I beleive them to be close friends. Men can be married and still enjoy the company of their friends that are female. I see no wrong done. However, if someone was to think that he has a relationship with that woman, he would not have broken Kates pact but merely gave into it. So again, no wrong done.

As for Kate, I have watched her evolve for the worse. Kates brother has said in recent interviews that she is not in it for the kids any more, but for the fame and money. Undoubtadly she loves her kids, but more and more her moral vision has been jaded by new opportunities to exploit her family for financial gain. If this isn't corruption I don't know what is. Kates brother has also stated that she doesn't share the money- forcing Jon to open his 401k to survive.

As for the latest episode, I feel that Kate is frustrated with Jon's frustration at the show and its resulting exploits of his family. He hates the attention- she relishes in it. He is tired of his kids being shown to the world- she sees eight little dollar signs. Granted, I feel that JonS pent up frustration has caused him to be less careful around the paparazzi, giving tabloids ample opportunity to formulate twisted stories.

Jon has seen Kate transform into this money-hungry woman, someone he never expected to evolve. Kate has lost the trust and friendship of her brother, best friend, and numerous caretakers because of her"new priorities".

I feel that the fact that Kates own brother supports Jon testifies to Kates gruesome transformation.

I was suprised that TLC tried to make Jon seem like the wrong doer by emphasing Kates uses of " I had to do this alone and alone and alone".
Well Kate- Jon had to do it on his own while you are off promoting your book and vicariously promoting further exploitation of the kids for monetary gain.

I hate to demonize Kate in any way, but from my perspective she needs to reprioritize and overhaul her morals or lack thereof. Jon needs to be strong and force her to realize her transformation, and change her ways. Jon has always been passive in the relationship, but this is one time he needs to stand up and say what's right.

Really, I support Jon in that this exploitation has gone on for long enough and needs to end. However the ramifications of doing the show in the first place is something they will have to live with for the rest of their lives.

I pray that the good Lord will guide Jon and Kate to make the right decision and that the children will not be harmed emotionally.

I think at first Jon was getting all the blame about the cheating rumors, but then the blame quickly turned to Kate. All of it is just a sad situation.

Hopefully none, as he should get custody, or at least there be Bird Nest Custody.

I find it interesting that with her abusive attitude toward him that she filed first, than now claims they need protection from him. She's more the douche bag than him.
